HEATHER GAIDECSKI
FOSTER COORDINATOR DIRECTOR
Heather has always had a love for animals from a very young age. Her very first dog was Licorice at age 4 years old. After high school she decided to pursue her love for animals and become a Vet Tech. She has been in this field for over 25 years.
Heather started to volunteer and foster dogs in 2020 and adopted her first dog, Ares, from One Love in 2017. She has since fostered over 50 and has four dogs of her own. Heather has a very busy lifestyle but always takes time to volunteer at events, bring homeless dogs into her home and rehabilitate them either from a medical issue or a puppy just needing to learn the ropes of living in a home, some basic commands and following a structured schedule so that they can find the perfect family to spend the rest of their days with.
Heather lives in South New Jersey with her dogs, Ares, Derby, Remi, Rooster, Lanee, Margo and her feline friends, Nash, Isla, Knox and Luke. Heather’s entire family has a passion for animals with her parents fostering and volunteering for the rescue and her brother and family adopting 2 dogs from the rescue.
Heather finds rescue to be sad when she has to say goodbye but finds joy in the fact that the lives she has to let go have been saved and continue to be as amazing homes are found.
